The Courtship Of Hornbills

It's hard not to be taken aback by the beauty of this ring.

After studying jewellery design with Tomasz Donocik a few years ago, we have remained friends, and I have looked on as his career as gone from strength to strength. Recently, Tomasz showed me this ring, and the accompanying video that he designed for Margowski. I am amazed at the beauty of the ring, and so happy that his talents are being recognised and put to good use - producing these exquisite pieces of one-off fine jewellery.

The ring will be auctioned off at the Abu Dhabi F1. Wish I could be there to see it go to a good home... actually I wish I could give it a home!

These Boots Were Made For Walking

and for Venice?

Off to Venice next week so I decided quite rightly that I needed a pair of sensible boots for the walking. Then I fell in love with these wedges, which are kind of practical, I guess.

They are currently on my feet, and are comfortable and I like them.

countdown to festivities

I really am not a fan of chocolate advent calendars, but feel cheated by advent calendars that only have a rubbish drawing of a star. Maybe it's something to do with the culture we live in, but I want more than that!
So can you believe how happy I was when i discovered Biscuiteers Advent Calendar. The happiness subsided when I saw the price tag. Maybe i should try and make it myself...

... then again I have things to do!

TV at Loft

Not quite sure how this window relates to Loft By Design's current collection, but I like it. For some reason it reminds of David Lynch. Not quite sure why!
